Baseball Bulldogs batter Blue Hose

The 25th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs defeated the Presbyterian College Blue Hose 18-3 in front of 2,829 spectators at Foley Field, in the final midweek game of the season.

“We just wanted to play clean baseball, and I thought we did that today,” said Georgia’s Ike Cousins head baseball coach Scott Stricklin. “We. had a lot of really good at-bats. Parks Haber, Garrett Blaylock, Cole Tate, Ben Anderson… Those are guys offensively that stand out, and I thought Davis Rokose did a really nice job of settling the game down. After that, the bullpen was outstanding.”

Georgia’s (34-18) 18 runs came on 15 hits, led by a 3-for-4, three-run, three-RBI performance by Blaylock and Harber, and a 3-for-3 four-run, three-RBI performance by Anderson. Cole Tate and Buddy Floyd notched two hits, while two Bulldogs notched one hit apiece. Blaylock and Harber just missed hitting for the cycle as Harber needed a single while Blaylock was aiming for a triple.
