There is a boil water advisory for the Bouldercrest subdivision in Oconee County. That’s where crews are working to repair a water main. Oconee County Water Resources says the plan now is to have the repairs completed and the advisory lifted by midnight tomorrow.

On Monday, 10/2/2023, at 10 p.m., Oconee County Water Resources will tie in a water main in the area of Bouldercrest Subdivision. Water will be turned off to homes and businesses in the affected area from approximately 10 p.m. to midnight during this repair. All residents and businesses in the affected area have been notified. Affected street addresses include a portion of Hog Mountain Road, Bouldercrest Circle, Tuxedo Lane, Briarwood Trail, Bouldercrest Court, and Lindy Circle.
As a Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) mandated precaution, a boil water advisory will be in effect from 12 a.m. on 10/3/2023 to 12 a.m. on 10/04/2023 in this area. During this time, all water used for drinking and food preparation should be boiled for one minute. The water is safe for other domestic purposes. Customers will be notified if testing indicates that the boil water advisory must be extended.
