There are reckless driving charges for Georgia Bulldog running back Kenny McIntosh, arrested by Athens-Clarke County Police after a traffic accident that happened early Sunday. McIntosh was also cited by police for not wearing a seat belt. Anthony Dasher with UGA Sports dot com says McIntosh is accused of driving 60 miles per hour in a 40 mph zone, hitting a car. Dasher reports that person in the car was taken to an Athens hospital. McIntosh was not injured. The running back was released on bonds totaling $2 thousand. McIntosh, 6-foot-1, 220 pounds, rushed for 328 yards, and three touchdowns last season. He returns for his third season and will be Georgia’s leading returning rusher for the 2022 season that begins in 131 days.

A Jackson County man is charged in a fatal crash in Franklin County. The Georgia State Patrol has leveled charges that include vehicular homicide against 43 year-old Damon Burke of Hoschton. Troopers say he was driving the truck that struck a car on State Route 320 in Carnesville, killing a woman from Hartwell and another from Lawrenceville. Two other people were injured in the accident.

The Georgia State Patrol says a driver trying to elude a pursuing State Trooper crashed his car in White County: the driver died at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
