Busy day at UGA includes president’s State of the University address

University of Georgia president Jere Morehead delivers his annual State of the University Address today: it's set for 3:30 this afternoon in the Chapel on UGA's North Campus. 

The University of Georgia's economic forecasters are in south Georgia today, delivering their economic forecast for Albany in a noon-hour session at the Hilton Garden Inn in Albany. It's the latest stop on a swing around the state for economists in UGA's Terry College of Business. 

The University of Georgia's Spring Career and Internship Fair is set for noon til 5 at the Classic Center. Employers looking to fill job openings and find interns will be on hand. 

Today at UGA: 100 days til spring semester graduation. A celebration honoring this year's senior class is set for 5 o'clock at Studio 225 on West Broad Street in Athens. 

There could be beer at ball games in Sanford Stadium: Athletic Director Greg McGarity says UGA is looking at other schools that are already selling alcohol in sporting venues. A decision on sales for the upcoming football season is expected later this year.

Georgia’s new voting machines are on display today at UGA, from noon til 2 at the University Law School. The new machines will be in use for the presidential preference primaries that will take place on March 24. Early voting begins on March 2.
