Campaign roundup: 32 days to go

Hart County state Rep Alan Powell joins Athens Republican Brian Kemp on the campaign trail: Kemp's campaign for governor rolls into Hartwell at 4:30 this afternoon. We are today 32 days away from Election Day. Kemp faces Atlanta Democrat Stacey Abrams on November 6. 

Georgia House Speaker David Ralston, Republican from Blue Ridge, is the scheduled speaker at this morning's Get Out the Vote rally in Gwinnett County: it's underway at 11:30 at Gwinnett GOP headquarters in Duluth.

Tuesday October 9 is the last day to register vote in next month’s elections. Early voting starts October 15.

Both of Georgia’s Republican Senators—Johnny Isakson and David Perdue—say they will be “yes” votes on the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Preliminary Senate votes are set for Friday, with a final vote on confirmation expected on Saturday.
