Thousands lined the streets for last night’s latest installment of Athens’ Downtown Parade of Lights: the annual event culminated with the arrival of Santa Claus and the lighting of the Christmas Tree that stands in front of City Hall.
There are several weekend Christmas parades on tap, including Saturday festivities in Canon and Royston and Sunday afternoon in Hartwell.
