Community forum to focus on homelessness in Athens

A community forum on the Athens-Clarke County government’s plan to combat homelessness is set for 3 o’clock at the Snipes Water Resources building on Barber Street in Athens. The hearing comes as Athens-Clarke County Commissioners are working to finalize a strategy for reducing the homeless population in Athens.

In a continued effort to develop a well-informed strategic plan to reduce and prevent homelessness, the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government—in collaboration with consulting firm The Cloudburst Group—is now seeking public comment on the final draft of the plan.
