Eagle Tavern in Watkinsville is closed as renovations and repairs get underway. Officials in Oconee County say it is work that should be completed within four to five months.

The Eagle Tavern Museum is currently closed for renovations and repairs to the historic structure. Repairs to the foundation will begin on Monday, March 15, in order to remediate erosion issues. These repairs are expected to be completed within four to five months.
