Early morning fire at UGA dorm

Athens, Ga - An early morning fire at a University of Georgia dormitory building resulted in the evacuation of its residents while fire crews contained the blaze.

From the official twitter account of the University of Georgia around 3 a.m. - “A fire at UGA residential hall, Boggs Hall, has been fully contained by the Athens Clarke County fire department. All students at Boggs Hall have been evacuated. There is no indication of any injuries. Student Affairs will be working directly with students affected.”

No word yet on the cause of the fire or the severity of damage to the building.
