Shannon Rush gets a thirty-year prison sentence, with fifteen to serve, after pleading guilty to bank robbery charges in Elbert County Superior Court: Rush robbed two banks in Elberton earlier this year, one in January and the other in June.
Shannon Carter is in custody in Tennessee: he's the man accused of hitting a Jackson County Sheriff's Deputy with a car during an incident that happened in July. Carter was arrested after allegedly doing the same thing to a police officer in Kingsport Tennessee. Carter is 25 years old, from Braselton.

A 29 year-old Lawrenceville man gets seven years in federal prison for hacking into people's bank accounts and siphoning off their money. Federal prosecutors in Atlanta say Justin Tony ran a scheme that netted more than $1.3 million. He’s also been ordered to pay restitution.
