A City Councilman who lost his seat in Comer gets a court hearing in Danielsville: Eddie West is alleging election fraud after last month’s loss to challenger Michael Wilder. He will make his claim in Madison County Superior Court. West lost in his November 2 bid for reelection by a vote of 50 to 29.
Tuesday runoff results are in in elections held in town cities in Madison County: Roy Fornash wins a City Council seat in Carlton, while Gregory Magrum will serve on the City Council in Colbert. In Barrow County, Stephanie Britt unseated Winder City Council incumbent Chris Akins in one Council runoff, while incumbent Sonny Morris was reelected.
Atlanta has a new mayor-elect: City Councilman Andre Dickens defeated Atlanta City Council president Felicia Moore in Tuesday’s runoff election. Dickens will replace outgoing Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, who chose not to run for a second term.
