First week of early voting comes to a close

Today marks the end of the first week of early voting in Athens and around the state. Advanced voting, which has been on a record pace through the first four days, continues through November 2, two weeks from today, with election day itself now 18 days away on November 6.

Athens Republican Brian Kemp, candidate for Governor, will be joined by Florida Senator Marco Rubio in campaign rallies Monday in Atlanta and Cobb County. The latest polls show the Secretary of State with a slim, within the margin of error lead over Atlanta Democrat Stacey Abrams, the former Georgia House Minority Leader.
