The Georgia DOT says work on Highway 316 in Gwinnett and Barrow counties will make for overnight lane closures. The work that begins this weekend will impact eastbound traffic between Cedars Road and Winder Highway and is expected to continue into October.

WHAT: Georgia Department of Transportation and construction partner Precision 2000 INC will be performing single lane closures on SR 316 Eastbound for Concrete and Portland Concrete Pavement Preservation Project.
WHEN: The single lane closure is expected to begin on Sunday, July 10, 2022 and anticipated to continue through October 2022. Nightly single lane closures will begin 7 p.m. each evening and reopened at 5 a.m. the next morning - Sunday through Friday.
WHERE: SR 316/University Parkway between Cedars Road SE and SR 8 /Winder Highway
WHY: Crews will replace concrete slabs on the existing roadway...
