Athens-Clarke County coronavirus case counts continue their decline: Wednesday’s two-week total of positive tests in Athens as reported by the Georgia Department of Public Health was down to 145, one of the lowest totals this year. The percentage of people in Athens considered fully vaccinated against COVID 19 has inched upward to 46 percent; it’s almost 60 percent in Oconee County.

Staffers in the Gainesville City School System will be able to get coronavirus booster shots later this month: a Gainesville teacher workday is set for November 19; that is when the COVID 19 vaccine booster shots will be made available to teachers and staffers in Gainesville city schools.
