Georgia is getting millions of dollars to invest in airport infrastructure, which some leaders say is a win-win.
The $12 million was awarded to the state’s Department of Transportation from the FAA. The funds will go towards improving drainage, erosion control, and repairing wear and tear to runways.
Through the bipartisan infrastructure law, funding will go towards four airports throughout the Peach State, including Canton, Gainesville, Savannah, and Thomasville.
Senator Raphael Warnock helped secure the $12 million that will go to four airports around the state.
