The GBI joins the Oglethorpe County Sheriff's Office in investigating the deaths of two people whose bodies were found in a home in the eastern part of the County. A statement from Oglethorpe County Sheriff's Office investigators says the two deaths not appear to be natural.

The Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation after the discovery of two bodies at a home in the Eastern part of the county. The GBI is working with the Oglethorpe County Sheriff’s Office investigators on the case. The names are not being released until the family is notified. The deaths do not appear to be natural. The case will continue to be investigated. Based on the preliminary findings there is no current threat to public safety or the well being of the good citizens of Oglethorpe.
