Georgia ranks 7th in covid economic recovery

Georgia ranked 7th in the nation for experiencing the best economic recovery during the coronavirus pandemic according to a new study.

LendingTree conducted the research analyzing 5 economic metrics - consumer spending, the number of small businesses open, small business revenue, job postings, and unemployment rate - and comparing them to pre-COVID conditions.

While Georgia came in 7th, Idaho placed first and Nevada ranked last. Overall, no single state has returned to pre-pandemic levels in any of the categories, except a few states who saw consumer spending levels return.
