ATLANTA — For the third straight year, Georgia’s tourism industry has set a new record, according to the Department of Economic Development.
In 2024, more than 174 million people visited the state, while spending more than $45 billion at hotels and restaurants. It marks a four percent increase from 2023.
Overall, officials say the industry had an $82 billion impact on the state’s economy that supported more than 470,000 jobs.
