North Georgia Technical College will share in a $9 million grant announced by Georgia Technical College Commissioner Greg Dozier. North Georgia Tech will use its portion of the funding to partner with Union County Schools to establish the Union County College and Career Academy. The school in Clarkesville joins technical colleges in Evans and Appling counties as grant recipients.
Coastal Pines Technical College will partner with Appling County Schools to establish the Appling Regional College and Career Academy, while Ogeechee Technical College will partner with Evans County Schools to establish the Evans Regional College and Career Academy.
The addition of these three will bring the number of College and Career Academies in Georgia to 53.
