Gwinnett Co man killed in Athens motorcycle crash

We have this morning the name of the motorcycle rider killed in a weekend crash in Athens: Terry Patterson was 31 years old, from Norcross. Athens-Clarke County Police say his motorcycle collided with an SUV at an intersection on Oak Street.

Patterson was taken to Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center, where he later died, the newspaper reported.

Police say the SUV driver was not injured and will not face charges.

Bond has been set at $1 million for a Habersham County man arrested in North Carolina: Christopher Wikstrom was taken into custody after a traffic in Macon County North Carolina, caught with what police in Franklin say was methamphetamine. 

The GBI is working with investigators in the Wilkes County Sheriff's Office, searching for suspects in the reported armed robbery of a pharmacy in Washington. Cash and prescription were said to have been stolen. There were no injuries reported.
