Kemp tours state

Athens Republican Brian Kemp begins his statewide tour today, traveling Georgia in advance of his inauguration next Monday. Today, Governor-elect Kemp will be in Augusta and then Savannah this evening. Tomorrow the tour will hit Fort Valley, Blakely, and Tift County. On Friday there will be stops in Whitesburg and Gainesville, and then on Saturday a stop in Dalton. Kemp, who defeated Democrat Stacey Abrams last November, is calling it his “thank you tour.”

Kemp’s inauguration will be held on Monday at Georgia Tech. A prayer service will follow at the Cathedral of St Phillip in Atlanta.
