Local briefs include teaching symposium, Staff Council session at UGA

The University of Georgia’s Spring Teaching Symposium takes place today, underway at noon at UGA’s Tate Student Center.

The Hall County Board of Elections says an effort to recall the Mayor and members of the City Council in Lula has failed. The Elections Board met Tuesday in Gainesville.

A man and woman from North Carolina are facing drug charges in north Georgia: Evan Vilardo is 35 years old, from Franklin North Carolina. Kaitlyn Kincaid is 27, from Marble. They were arrested in Towns County, charged with trafficking in heroin, meth, and fentanyl.
