Loeffler, Warnock pull out of scheduled debate with Collins

Hall County Congressman Doug Collins was the last candidate standing after two rivals pulled out of a scheduled TV debate.

It was originally supposed to air last weekend on Atlanta’s Channel Two, then delayed until this coming weekend. Now, there will be no TV debate featuring U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler and her two main challengers in the so-called “jungle primary” - Republican Doug Collins and Democrat Raphael Warnock. Both Loeffler and Warnock have both pulled out. That resulted in the cancellation of the debate and leaves Collins without an opportunity for more statewide exposure.

A recent AJC poll shows Warnock with a big lead, but not enough to avoid a runoff with either Loeffler or Collins.
