GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — A Lawrenceville man will spend 35 years in prison after selling fentanyl-laced pills to two teenagers in Norcross who later overdosed and died.
Prosecutors say Drolvin Calix-Rodriguez sold the pills to the two teens on separate occasions in February 2023.
A third teenager survived an overdose and provided investigators with information that helped identify Calix-Rodriguez and a woman who worked with him.
Calix-Rodriguez pleaded guilty to racketeering, involuntary manslaughter and drug charges.
He was sentenced to 40 years, with 35 years to serve in prison.
The woman who worked with Calix-Rodriguez will serve 20 years.
