DULUTH, GA — More than 167,000 pounds of raw beef, pork and goat are being recalled after the products passed through a Georgia distributor.
The USDA says the meat from Star Meat Delivery was produced without required federal inspection. The products were shipped to A&D Foods in Duluth before being distributed to restaurants and retailers across the country.
The recalled products include beef ribs, ribeye, oxtail, ground pork, chorizo, pork chops and goat meat.
Federal inspectors say the products carried an inspection number that was not authorized.
Some stores may have repackaged the meat, meaning the products may no longer have their original labels.
No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall.
The USDA says consumers should not eat the recalled products and should either throw them away or return them.
