NE Ga police blotter: assault, robbery, drug dealing

Athens-Clarke County Police are investigating a report of road rage in which three people were hit with pepper spray: Police say it happened earlier this month on Lakeside Drive in Athens. People in a car and truck reportedly argued after a traffic confrontation, with the man in the car allegedly using the pepper spray on the people in the truck.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect in the armed robbery of a Dollar General Store in Buford. The gunman—a young black male whose face was covered by a coronavirus mask—robbed store employees at gunpoint. No injuries were reported.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office says a suspected methamphetamine trafficker is behind bars, caught with what drug agents say was more than $400,000 worth of meth. 30 year-old Edwin Barrera was arrested after a traffic stop in Hall County.
