A call about a domestic disturbance ends with the arrest of an Elbert County man: there are child cruelty charges for 27 year-old Garrett Ruff, who was booked into and has bonded out of the Elbert County Detention Center.
A man from Stephens County is indicted on murder charges stemming from this past summer’s shooting death of a man from Franklin County: Suspect Brodrique Dixon is 32 years old, from Toccoa; the victim, was Christopher Tukes from Lavonia. The shooting happened in August at a park in Toccoa.
Hall County Sheriff’s deputies were, at last report, still trying to track down an inmate who took off an ankle monitor and walked away from the Hall County jail on Thursday. 27 year-old Michael Wade of Gainesville was in jail on a work-release program.
The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office says the estranged husband and wife who died in a murder-suicide this week had a court hearing on their pending divorce schedule for next week: they were found dead by Dawson County deputies earlier this week. James Adam was 62 years old; Jenny Adam was 50.
