NE Ga police blotter includes arrest of Athens man in Barrow Co

The Georgia State Patrol has released the name of the Athens man who was injured in a motorcycle crash in Barrow County: State Troopers say 47 year-old Corrie Day wrecked his bike at the end of a high-speed police chase that began on the 10 Loop in Athens and ended on Highway 316 at Carl Bethlehem Road in Barrow County. Day was flown by helicopter to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. There were no other injuries.

There are child porn charges for a teenager arrested in Hall County. Rocco Dodero is 17 years old, from Flowery Branch. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office says he’s facing more than a dozen counts of felony sexual exploitation of a child. Investigators say he was sharing the pornographic images via the social media platform Snapchat.

A Gwinnett County man is arrested on child abuse charges in Hall County: Mohamed Bogoreh is from Snellville. He’s accused of fracturing the skull of his 2-month-old son in an incident that is said to have happened at a home in Oakwood.

The former owner of a hospital in Lumpkin County is cleared of criminal charges. A jury in Dahlonega acquitted Aaron Durall and three others who were accused of billing insurers in what was alleged by prosecutors to have been a fraud scheme that netted north of one billion dollars.
