NE Ga police blotter: smash-and-grab robberies in Athens, forgery arrest in Elberton

Athens-Clarke County Police are searching for suspects who stole tobacco products in smash-and-grab robberies at two stores in Athens.

An Elbert County man faces charges that include kidnaping. The Elbert County Sheriff’s Office says Danny Teasley was taken into custody after a domestic disturbance at a home in Elberton. Other counts against the 48 year-old Teasley include aggravated assault and terroristic threats.

Police in Elberton have arrested a woman on forgery charges: 35 year-old Kayla McFry was, at last report, still in the Elbert County Detention Center.

A Franklin County woman is killed in a car crash in Banks County. The Georgia State Patrol says the single-vehicle accident happened on Yonah Homer Road in Banks County. Emily Pass was 24 years old, from Carnesville.
