Court documents filed in the lawsuit brought by Victoria Bowles say UGA football recruiting staffers routinely drove vehicles rented by the University after drinking alcohol. Bowles, who worked in the recruiting office, was seriously injured in a car crash in January of last year, a wreck on Athens’ east side that claimed the lives of Bulldog football player Devin Willock and recruiting office employee Chandler LeCroy.

Toxicology reports say LeCroy was well over the legal limit for alcohol when she crashed a University-leased SUV on Barnett Shoals Road last January 15.

Athens-Clarke County Police reports say LeCroy was racing another car driven by former Georgia Bulldog defensive lineman Jalen Carter. Carter last April pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges stemming from the fatal wreck. He now plays for the NLF’s Philadelphia Eagles.
