No new trial for man convicted in Gainesville gang murder

The Georgia Supreme Court rejects a request for a retrial in the case of a Hall County man convicted on a murder charge: Delwoun Williams is from Gainesville. He's serving a life sentence for the gang-related shooting of Cornelius Gordon, who was killed in June of 2017.

Gordon was seated in a car in the 2200 block of Barnes Drive in Gainesville when someone walked over and shot him in the head, sheriff's officials said. Gordon, 24, of Gainesville, later died at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Williams was later arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor probation warrant and then linked to the Gordon murder.
