The Oconee County government announces what it says is a public-private partnership with Spectrum, a deal designed to delivered high-speed internet access to under-served portions of southern and western Oconee County.

Broadband Internet Project
Oconee County Government recognizes the critical importance of reliable, high-speed internet in multiple areas of everyday life. In response to this need, the county has contracted with Charter Communications to bring high-speed broadband service to under-served areas of the county. The timeline for build out of this new infrastructure is approximately two years.
Broadband Project Interest Form
Charter is in the process of setting up a portal for this project. In the interim, you may indicate your interest by submitting your address for possible inclusion using our Broadband Project Interest Form. This information will be sent directly to Charter.
