The Georgia Association of Educational Leaders recognized Oconee County Schools with the 2023-2024 GAEL Vision Award on Sunday. The Vision Award cites school systems that are committed to encouraging and supporting teachers, principals, and district office staff in professional learning.

The Vision Award was presented on Sunday during the Winter GAEL Conference at the Classic Center in Athens.

“Education is a people business, and the OCS staff makes the greatest impact,” Superintendent Jason Branch said. “Professional development allows our team members to identify and reach their goals, which ultimately influences student success and helps OCS maintain high performances at each level.”
