Oconee County sets July 24 as opening date for the County’s new Administrative Building. Offices that will be moving from the Oconee County courthouse to the new facility on Macon Highway will be closed on Friday July 21. A ribbon cutting for the new Administrative Building is set for July 25.

The new Oconee County Administrative Building, located at 7635 Macon Highway, Watkinsville, will be open to the public on Monday, July 24, at 8 a.m. Offices that are relocating to the new building will be closed to the public on Friday, July 21, to complete the move.
The new Oconee County Administrative building will provide a welcoming space allowing residents to interact with many county departments in one convenient location. Departments that will be housed in the new building include:
- Board of Commissioners Office
- County Clerk
- Elections
- Emergency Management
- Environmental Health
- Facilities
- Finance
- Fire Rescue
- Geographic Information Systems
- Human Resources
- Information Technology
- Planning & Code Enforcement
- Property Appraisal
- Public Works
- Keep Oconee County Beautiful
- Tax Commissioner
- Water Resources
All office telephone numbers and staff email addresses will remain the same. All court-related services will remain at the Oconee County Courthouse.
