An early morning shooting at a home on Boldercrest Circle in Oconee County leaves two victims dead and a relative of the victims under arrest.
From the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office:
This morning at 1222 hours, deputies responded to a shooting on Boldercrest Cir. On arrival, 2 adults were found inside the home deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. 2 juveniles were also located in the home unharmed. The suspect, Peyton Moyer, who also lives in the home had already fled the scene in one of the victim’s vehicles. He was later located by Athens Clarke County Police and arrested after a short pursuit.
The victims have been identified as Ashley Schutza (Mother of the suspect) and Benjamin Smith (Step-father of the suspect).
