Oglethorpe Ave principal named

A veteran educator with a background in special education will be the next principal at Oglethorpe Avenue Elementary School: Dr Bipul Singh is an assistant principal at North Elementary School in Gwinnett County.

"I am confident that Dr. Singh is the right person to take the lead at Oglethorpe Avenue Elementary," said Demond Means, Superintendent of Clarke County Schools. "His many strengths and wealth of experience will allow him to continue the strong leadership tradition at Oglethorpe Avenue."

Today begins the last week of the school year for students and teachers in the Clarke County School District: Friday is the final day of class; graduation for seniors at Clarke Central and Cedar Shoals High Schools is this coming Saturday in UGA's Stegeman Coliseum.
