Organizers say they are expecting upwards of 20 thousand people for this weekend’s Trump rally in Banks County: former President Donald Trump will be at the old Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, stumping for Republican candidate David Perdue and Vernon Jones. Former Senator Perdue is looking to unseat Governor Brian Kemp in a GOP primary in May; Vernon Jones is running in that same primary as a 10th District congressional candidate.
Former Georgia Congressman and US House Speaker Newt Gingrich is endorsing David Perdue, the former US Senator who is looking to unseat Governor Kemp in the Republican primary that will be held two months from today.
“David Perdue is a lifelong job creator with a record of results. His natural instinct is to solve problems and bring people together,” said Gingrich. “I firmly believe David Perdue is the only candidate who can unite the Republican Party, defeat Abrams, and help Georgia avoid Critical Race Theory indoctrination, higher taxes, and bigger bureaucracy.
