PARMC Cancer Center schedules Survivor Block Party

Piedmont Athens Regional’s Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support is hosting its annual Cancer Survivor Block Party on National Cancer Survivors Day, Sunday, June 2. The party will be from 3 to 5:30 p.m. between the Loran Smith Center and Dubose-Griffin Healing Lodge at 240 Talmadge Drive.

The block party was started to celebrate those who have faced cancer and serve as inspiration for those who have been recently diagnosed. It is a gathering of support for families, friends, and the community. Fill up on hamburgers, hot dogs, and ice cream while enjoying a DJ, outdoor games, plus arts and crafts and face painting for the kids. There will even be exciting raffle prizes that guests will be entered to win.

Make plans to join staff from Piedmont Athens Regional, the Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support, survivors, supporters, family, and friends for an afternoon of celebration. There is no cost to attend the party, and free parking will be available in the Medical Services Building parking lot.
