Peabody awards weekend in New York

Ronan Farrow will host Saturday’s Peabody Awards presentation at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City: the Peabodys, which recognize excellence in broadcasting and electronic media, are handed out annually by the University of Georgia and its Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Farrow, a contributing writer for The New Yorker and an investigative reporter and producer based at HBO, will serve as host. Farrow's stories in The New Yorker exposed the first sexual-assault allegations against movie producer Harvey Weinstein, and garnered him a Pulitzer Prize for public service, a National Magazine Award, and a George Polk Award, among other honors. He previously worked as an anchor and investigative reporter at MSNBC and NBC News, and is currently producing documentaries for HBO.
