Piedmont prosecutor to seek seat on Superior Court bench

Andy Crawford, Assistant District Attorney in the Piedmont Judicial Circuit that includes Banks, Barrow, and Jackson counties, has qualified to run for Superior Court Judge: the Jackson County resident is running for the seat on the bench that opens with the retirement of Judge Currie Mingledorff.

Today, Andy Crawford, who resides in Jackson County and serves as Assistant District Attorney for Georgia’s Piedmont Judicial Circuit, qualified to run for Superior Court Judge. He is running to replace the Honorable Currie Mingledorff, who is retiring.

Crawford is honored to be endorsed by Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith, Banks County Sheriff Carlton Speed, and Jackson County Sheriff Janis Mangum. With experience prosecuting over 1,000 felony cases in Barrow, Banks, and Jackson counties, Crawford is committed to serving the community with integrity and efficiency.

After over a year of campaigning, Crawford looks forward to the next several months on the campaign trail, now an officially qualified candidate in the race.

“Qualifying ushers in the next season of our campaign and represents my commitment to pursue excellence for the Piedmont Judicial Circuit,” said Crawford, “There is a spotlight on Georgia’s judicial system right now, and I know I am the candidate that will deliver the results that the Piedmont Circuit deserves. I was raised in Jackson County and will do everything possible to see the community thrive in safety and accountability.”
