We have this morning the name of the pilot killed in last weekend’s plane crash in Lumpkin County: John Gentry was 39 years old, from Dahlonega. His Cessna, which had taken off from Athens-Ben Epps Airport, went down near the airport in Dahlonega.

Gentry was the only person on board.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
