A teenager from Cherokee County is killed in a boating accident on Lake Hartwell. The Hart County Sheriff’s Office says two boats collided on the lake early Sunday afternoon. The victim was 17 years old, from Canton. His name has not yet been released.
Two other people were injured and taken to a hospital in Anderson South Carolina. Authorities say their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources and the Hart County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
