Athens-Clarke County Police are investigating a shooting on Athens east side. Police say a teenager suffered a non-life threatening injury when he was shot in the arm. The 16 year-old was treated at an Athens hospital. Police say multiple shell cases were found on the scene. There was no immediate word from police on suspects or motive.

On November 5th at approximately 11:15 am, ACCPD responded to a Shots Fired call at 705 Spring Valley Road. Upon arrival, officers located a 16-year-old male juvenile with a gunshot wound to his right arm.
The juvenile stated he was walking near the complex’s mailboxes and office building when unknown males shot him. EMS transported the juvenile to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening wound. Multiple shell casings around the mailboxes were collected as evidence. ACCPD later determined that a white Honda Civic was seen leaving the complex at the time of the incident.
This incident is under investigation, and ACCPD asks anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact Sgt. Black at scott.black@accgov.com or 762-400-7058.
The Georgia State Patrol reports the arrest of Rahim Abdullah, who had been the target of a day-long manhunt in Habersham County: the 50 year-old fled a traffic stop on Highway 365 in Habersham County. He had been wanted on battery charges in Athens.

Habersham County deputies said a man who was involved in a chase with Georgia State Patrol, who they believed to be armed and dangerous, has been captured.
Habersham County Sheriff Joey Terrell said units helped Georgia State Patrol with a manhunt near the Tom Arrendale Interchange Monday afternoon.
According to Georgia State Patrol, troopers attempted to do a traffic stop on a car on Georgia 365.
The car started a police chase traveling north on GA 365. The driver, who GSP identified as 50-year-old Rahim Abdullah, tried to exit the o of GA 365 and GA 17 before crashing.
After he ran away, a manhunt began in the area.
Sheriff Terrell said Abdullah was arrested in the same area around 6:30 p.m.
Troopers said Abdullah is also wanted out of Athens-Clarke County.
Police in Gainesville investigate the shooting that wounded a teenager: the 19 year-old victim was treated at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville where he was, as of Monday, in stable condition. There was no word from Gainesville Police on a suspect, though they do say the shooting does not appear to have been random.
