A South Carolina woman is behind bars in Habersham County, charged for her role in a police chase that ended with an officer-involved shooting: Crystal Singleton is 21 years old, from Piedmont South Carolina. Sheriff’s Office investigators say a police pursuit that began in Habersham County continued through Rabun County and ended in Macon County North Carolina, where the driver—24 year-old Austin Thomason—was wounded in a shootout with police officers. He was treated at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville and is also in the Habersham County jail.
