UGA equestrian releases schedule

The seven-time national champion Georgia equestrian team takes on another competitive schedule in 2022-23, head coach Meghan Boenig announced Monday.

Following the annual Red and Black Scrimmage on September 17, Georgia kicks off the regular season with a three-meet homestand.  Georgia opens against Baylor (Sept. 30) before facing back-to-back Southeastern Conference opponents with Auburn (Oct. 7) and Texas A&M (Oct. 22) coming to town.

The Bulldogs then head west to take on UC Davis (Oct. 28) and South Dakota State (Oct. 29) in California.  Next, Georgia heads to South Carolina for a match-up against the Gamecocks on November 12.  The fall portion of the schedule will conclude with a trip to Delaware where the Bulldogs face Delaware State (Nov. 18) and Lynchburg (Jumping Seat only on Nov. 19).

The schedule resumes on February 4 with South Carolina and Sweet Briar (Jumping Seat only) coming to the UGA Equestrian Complex.

Georgia will then face the reigning national champions, Oklahoma State, in Stillwater on February 11, before heading to Auburn on February 18.

The Bulldogs return home for a meet against SMU (Feb. 24), before finishing the regular season at Texas A&M (March 4).

The SEC Championship will be held at South Carolina on March 24-25. The NCEA National Championship is set to take place April 13-15 at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida.
