Walton Co home invasion crew is sentenced

Four people have been sentenced to a combined 63 years in prison for their roles in a Walton County home invasion. Prosecutors say the three men and one woman pleaded guilty to charges including home invasion and aggravated assault. Thomas Fields, Tracey Daniel, Jonathan Welborn, and Lisa Lindsey are all also banned from Walton County once they are released from prison. Fields, Daniel, and Welborn had an assault rifle, a shotgun, and a handgun when they kicked in the home's front door in 2017 and confronted two people inside.

A 33 year-old Gainesville man is in the Hall County jail, accused of dealing in synthetic marijuana: charges for Jacob Stokes also include heroin possession.
A man and woman from Cleveland are arrested on drug distribution charges, accused of dealing marijuana out of a business in downtown Helen: Robert Wright is 63 years old; Jaroslava Brusova is 59.

The Georgia State Patrol says charges are pending in the case of a garbage truck driver who caused a fatal car crash in White County: the wreck happened north of Cleveland, where Jeremy Dooley’s truck collided with a car after the 30 year-old from Wilkes County failed to stop at a stop sign. 83 year-old Betsy Marquis of Cleveland was a passenger in the car. The State Patrol says she was pronounced dead on the scene of the accident.
