With Kemp signature, UGA could grow marijuana

It is legislation that would allow the University of Georgia to grow marijuana to allow for the extraction of cannabis oil that is legal for medical treatments in Georgia: Governor Brian Kemp has said he will sign the bill that passed on the final day of this year’s legislative session, and now we know when he intends to sign it: the Governor’s office says he will do so tomorrow.

UGA, Fort Valley State University, and a handful of private companies would be allowed to cultivate the medical marijuana in Georgia.
