A teacher from Bowman is arrested after allegedly having sexual contact with a student: 40 year-old Erica Wilson was a physical education teacher and a volleyball coach at Elbert County Comprehensive High School. Elbert County School Superintendent Jon Jarvis says Wilson has resigned. The Sheriff’s Office in Elberton says the investigation is ongoing.
A man from Hart County is arrested on assault charges in Elbert County: the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office says Marquese Gilmore was arrested after fighting with workers and customers at a fast food restaurant in Elberton. It’s a brawl that happened in July of last year.
Police have identified the victim of a deadly shooting in Loganville: Gwinnett County Police 20 year-old Devond Holmes was from Loganville. He was shot while sitting in his car, a shooting that also wounded a 16 year-old girl. There is still no word on suspects or motive.
