Police probe shooting in Stonehenge

Athens-Clarke County Police investigate another shooting: police say a man was shot and wounded in Stonehenge. He was treated in an Athens hospital for what were said to have been non-life threatening injuries. The man who is believed to have shot him was last seen running on Morning Drive in Athens.

From the ACCPD…

On January 3, 2022, at approximately 11:37AM, the Athens-Clarke County Police Department responded to the 300 block of Morning Drive regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 23-year-old male that had been shot. Initial investigation indicates that the shooting took place at a residence in the 300 block of Stonehenge Way and the subject that was shot ran to the area of Morning Drive. The subject was transported by EMS to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
