WASHINGTON, DC — 45% of Americans think the nation has made progress in dealing with the problem of illegal drugs, according to a new Gallup poll.
That’s the highest Gallup has registered on that question since 2000 and it’s up from a record-low of 24% from just two years ago.
At the same time, the proportion saying the nation has lost ground in dealing with illegal drugs has dropped from a record-high 52% to a record-low 23%.
